Technician II – Business Development

SilverBow is in search of a Business Development Technician II to provide support for the Business Development team. The BD Technician II will be responsible for database management, information gathering, reporting, data analytics, competitor benchmarking, economic evaluations, petrophysical support, and development planning. To be successful in this position, we’re looking for a self-starter who wants to work as a member of a busy team, is interested in learning new skills, and is flexible and adaptable as priorities change.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business development team on A&D activities, competitor benchmarking and industry surveillance
  • Retrieve and compile technical and performance data from various public and internal databases; support technical evaluation efforts of team; work technical issues with engineering staff
  • Develop and maintain Spotfire database to monitor industry activity, identify trends, and assist with the evaluation of opportunities
  • Develop processes to effectively compile, analyse and present large and complex sets of data
  • Assist in economic evaluation including maintaining and building NAVs and/or ARIES databases
  • Assist in investigating and gathering technical and financial data in support of projects and coordinate with other departments as needed; assist in the preparation of reports and presentations
  • Maintain team calendar and status for all active projects
  • Set-up, maintain and/or access functional data management systems /databases in a timely and accurate manner
  • Research and describe well histories; trend analyses; maintain functional scorecard
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

 

Required Experience & Education

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Required; preferred in an engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of Technician experience
  • Proficient Excel user; Spotfire, Power BI, or ARIES experience a plus
  • Advanced analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Desire to learn new skills and software programs through mentorship and self-learning
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department and corporate goals

 

 

Contract Specialist

SilverBow Resources (NYSE: SBOW) (“SilverBow” or the “Company”) is seeking a Contract Specialist to manage the contract negotiations and review process for a variety of vendor and commercial contracts, The Contract specialist will draft, review and negotiate the Company’s contractual documents and follow the agreements through to execution. Works with applicable business and operation team leads and other stakeholders. Communicates with third-parties as part of the negotiation. This position will initiate, coordinate and administer master service agreements, consulting agreements and various other corporate and operational contracts and must have familiarity and experience with such contracts. To be successful in this position, a candidate must be a self-starter and must be able to perform multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and in a very organized manner. The Contract Specialist will report to the Assistant General Counsel.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft and negotiate the following types of contracts: master service agreements, consulting services agreements, scopes of work, confidentiality agreements, compressor agreements, data license agreements, drilling contracts, land agreements (JOAs), marketing agreements (oil, gas and NGLs), ISDAs, bank account agreements, letters of credit, engagement agreements, event agreements, guaranty agreements, leases/subleases, power of attorneys, recruiting and temporary staff agreements, and other similar contracts
  • Experience and familiarity with contract types outlined above is highly preferred
  • Perform and assist with legal research related to contract provisions
  • Review requests to modify contracts, while working with internal business partners to negotiate terms and obtain approvals for modifications as required
  • Communicate with third-parties as part of contract negotiation
  • Organize routing and approval of contracts including data entry and communications
  • Ensure contracts are processed, executed and filed correctly in SilverBow’s electronic contract management system (Onit)
  • Perform special projects as assigned

Required Education/Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with contract review, negotiation and administration
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with contract management systems
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
