Engineering Analyst III

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is looking for an Engineering Analyst III to oversee complex tasks in support of the corporate level planning roles and actions. These tasks may include database management, information gathering, reporting, data analysis, economic support, goal tracking, and development planning as described below. Further, this role will be the interface between the operations and finance/accounting responsibilities within the corporation. The position is responsible for continuously improving programs, processes and relationships internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compiling metrics as well as helping when needed in the development of processes/procedures to support the accuracy and gathering of functional data.
  • Provide to leadership the data and data analysis required to complete management/board level reports and presentations.
  • Periodically performs process and data audits to ensure minimum standards including core values and standards, uptime, cost management, and planning and scheduling are being achieved.
  • Assist in the investigation and gathering data in support of projects and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Report retrieval, distribution, compilation and/or transmission on a regular basis.
  • Interact with other departments to obtain necessary information for approvals and for preparing and tracking AFEs and AFE Supplements.
  • Provide data and information to support presentations by staff and requests from outside the department and/or team.
  • Performs a variety of complex activities as part operations.
  • Research, analyze and describe well and project histories.
  • Set-up, maintain and/or access functional data management systems /databases in a timely and accurate manner; produce reports and/or graphs as needed (monthly, quarterly and yearly basis).
  • Set-up and maintain the Budget and AFE tracking processes.
  • Prepare and present reports to management and external parties.
  • Tracking of metrics, data, costs, etc.
  • May provide mentorship, guidance and/or assistance in training of others throughout the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and assist with special projects as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 7 -10 years of experience
  • Oil & Gas industry business analytics and operational discipline(s)
  • Basic understanding and usage of economics and production tracking software
