Reservoir Engineer

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is looking for a Reservoir Engineer responsible for business and reservoir management and surveillance. This role will work closely with engineering staff to ensure efficient Asset Management, Reservoir/Resource Management, Well Optimization and Performance and support of operations activities. This position will surveil production and pressure data to identify performance trends, and recommend recovery plans in coordination with operations and engineering staff. Additionally, this position will perform various business and commercial evaluations and provide surveillance of competitor activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Asset, Area, Field and well surveillance for performance and short and long term forecasting and budget preparation
  • Reservoir performance, choke management strategies and data gathering activities
  • Asset Analysis including business and commercial studies, small A&D opportunities, commercial options
  • Coordination and preparation of projects for approval, implementation and execution.
  • Ensure industry technology is transferred, integrated and applied throughout

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 - 20 years of experience; including multiple years supporting Eagle Ford Shale Assets in addition to other unconventional assets
  • Proven track record of performance
  • Solid reservoir engineering skillset (volumetrics, decline curve, log analysis, and RTA/PTA analysis)
  • Expert level economic preparation and analysis
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-function professionals at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills including the use of OFM, Enersight, Fekete and Aries packages

Key Skills:

  • Recognized as an industry expert who develops solutions and proposes changes to company practices & standards
  • Demonstrated project management skills and techniques in planning, operations and analysis
  • 10+ years Shale experience

Education:

  • BS in a relatable engineering field

Counsel or Senior Counsel - Exploration & Production

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is seeking either a Counsel or Senior Counsel to be the day-to-day point person serving the Company’s operations departments. A candidate for this role should consider themselves an upstream transactional generalist.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including master services agreements, midstream agreements, purchase agreements, and other industry-specific agreements
  • Manage Company’s litigation docket, including managing outside counsel’s strategy and budget
  • Support the Company’s Land function through the review of contracts and managing outside counsel as necessary
  • Participate in and contribute to a broad range of M&A, joint venture and other strategic transactions, including due diligence and drafting, review and negotiation of purchase and sale and joint venture agreements as well as related transactional documents

Qualifications:

  • Ability to handle fast-paced atmosphere; gets tasked accomplished.
  • Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline.
  • Understands complex legal principles and impact on the business.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Must understand dynamics of managing outside counsel.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced level analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to mentor less senior team members and lead cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • 5 – 15 years’ experience
  • Juris Doctor with Oil and Gas experience
  • Active member in professional societies
