Exploration & Production Paralegal II or III

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources Operating, LLC is seeking an Exploration & Production (E&P) Paralegal to be part of our Legal Department. A successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Company’s E&P function by assisting in-house counsel with reviewing, redlining, finalizing and filing various types of oil and gas contracts. Based on the current size of the department, a successful candidate will also assist with administrative duties.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage and coordinate a high volume of matters in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision or, at times, autonomously; must be a self-starter
  • Experience in supporting attorneys with the contract lifecycle, including reviewing, commenting, redlining/blacklining and filing various oil and gas contracts
  • Excellent people skills in dealing with internal business clients and outside of the Company with third-party counsels, vendors, as well as support staff
  • Familiarity with meeting facilitation techniques and etiquette
  • Highly organized, detail oriented with excellent communication and writing skills
  • Has had some exposure to the litigation process, including the legal hold process, discovery and general case management

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as contracts liaison for Legal Department; Act as superuser for Company’s contract review and approval application
  • Review and redline/blackline contracts as directed for review by a department attorney
  • Effectively communicate and consult with all levels of Company personnel and external parties regarding contracts, disputes or other department matters
  • Follow department protocols for gathering, organizing and filing documents; assist team in implementation of legal holds, updating case status in case management system; track handling of documents for assigned matters
  • Work on special projects as needed

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years plus of experience in the Paralegal role
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Functional proficiency with matter management system. Experience with Legal Tracker (formerly Serengeti Tracker) is preferred

Treasury Analyst I

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is seeking a highly motivated Treasury Analyst to assist with all aspects of Treasury and Risk Management. This position will report directly to the Lead Treasury & Risk Analyst. A successful candidate must be able to perform multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and in a very organized manner. He or she must be able to develop a clear understanding of treasury and risk concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Update daily cash flash, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
  • Determine necessary level of borrowings according to daily and rolling cash position
  • Execute financial transactions including wires, ACH, lockbox transfers
  • Analyze and capture transactional data from a variety of sources
  • Maintain corporate bank accounts
  • Print monthly revenue checks and weekly accounting payable checks
  • Prepare and maintain Treasury procedures and deadlines
  • Assist in performing counterparty credit analysis and maintaining files
  • Report health, safety, or environmental incidents to insurance providers in a timely fashion
  • Help prepare applications, review policies and ensure policies are reviewed both internally and externally (broker and on occasion outside legal counsel)
  • Assist in reporting, monitoring, analysing, and resolving claims
  • Provide support in organizing and coordinating the Insurable Risk Advisory Team
  • Edit spreadsheets and presentations as requested

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle/EU experience a plus
  • A working knowledge of cash flow terminology as well as finance and accounting principles

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 0-4 years of relevant treasury and risk experience

Production Engineer II

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is looking for a Production Engineer II to oversee, analyze, and monitor daily oil and gas production operations including completions and production enhancement operations to ensure maximum productivity and profitability. Additional responsibilities will be to continuously improve programs, processes, and relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and review well performance in order to optimize oil and gas production and troubleshoot problem wells
  • Utilize well developed project management skills to design, implement and maintain new well completions, recompletions, artificial lift, production facilities, etc. at optimum levels.
  • Monitor equipment and well performance for efficiency, maintenance, repair or change
  • Prepare AFE and economic justifications for capital and expense projects, and work together with field supervisor and Asset Teams to insure proper implementation.
  • Coordinate with Operations personnel on field operations and activities
  • Monitor and control Capital and LOE spending to maximize profit and loss potential
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for goods and services
  • Help insure regulatory compliance, and represent the company at regulatory hearing or industry meetings
  • Assist other company departments by providing engineering expertise for various special projects such as field studies, acquisitions, joint ventures, specialized reporting, forecasting, etc.
  • Provide engineering support to field personnel

Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor. The qualified candidate will provide resources and guidance to improve corporate compliance of health, safety & environmental activities with all applicable local, state and federal standards, rules, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide health, safety & environmental assistance to company personnel on an as-needed basis to assure an awareness of health and safety regulatory requirements and compliance
  • Maintain an awareness of all existing and proposed state and Federal health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to the company
  • Document, assess, and track all health and safety incidents including trend analyses, calculation of incident rates, safety alerts, etc.
  • Assist in the management and investigation of health and safety incidents
  • Assist in the management of contractor safety including review and assessment of contractors prior to hiring and ongoing performance
  • Participates in Field Safety Meetings, Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR), HazOps, HazID, etc.
  • Prepare recommendations for health, safety and compliance while considering economic costs to comply, practicality of compliance, enforcement efforts and the potential of enforcement; i.e., risk is factored into compliance cost
  • Responsible for establishing policies, standards, and guidelines for preventive or corrective safety actions by studying accidents and potential health, safety & environmental risks
  • Promote healthy, safe and environmental working conditions through training, audits, inspections, reports, observations, safety incentive programs, and recommendations
  • Provide company employees with information, policies, or training to assure an awareness of health, safety and environmental.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and assessments for acquisitions, divestitures, and other business needs
  • Prepare and develop emergency response and contingency plans and provide health and safety assistance to company personnel on an as-needed basis to comply with emergency response requirements

Senior Reservoir Engineering Technician

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineering Technician responsible for providing technical support and analysis to Reservoir Engineers and multidiscipline teams. This role will work closely with engineering and operations staff to perform economic evaluations, reservoir analysis, and reports, presentations and graphics. The position will also be responsible for retrieving, processing, and analyzing technical data.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate software products and data flow to optimize engineering time and technical work/recommendation quality
  • Economics analysis and sensitivities including Quality Control
  • Performance management and lookbacks on assets and areas for management review
  • Retrieve and compile technical and performance data from industry and internal production and well databases
  • Build, update and maintain presentations, daily/weekly and monthly reports, data bases, and analysis

Qualifications:

  • A Technical Degree in Math, Engineering, Geology or Science
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Reservoir Engineering Technician supporting an asset team focused on asset development and production operations
  • Must understand the fundamentals of cash flow with ability to derive operating cash flow, rate of return, discounted cash flow and other related investment metrics.
  • Power User in MS Office Suite, Enersight, OFM with a strong working knowledge of Aries and Fekete Software Suite
  • Must be a team player, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and solid communication skills.

Senior Electrical & Instrumental Tech – Field

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumental Tech to maintain facilities and equipment to meet asset integrity, performance, production and cost requirements. Provide technical support for management of control systems infrastructure. Provide day-to-day troubleshooting and support for SCADA field hardware, communication devices, field instrumentation/controls and resolving issues with electrical and electronic circuits. Continuously improve programs, processes and relationships

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for configuring, installing, and commissioning of new instruments and controllers
  • Ensure weekly maintenance plan is achieved and all safety devices are within proper operating parameters
  • Identify and address all maintenance issues before they escalate. Report all actions promptly and within guidelines
  • Responsible for ensuring that all instrument, electrical and control systems are installed and maintained in a manner consistent with sound engineering and applicable codes
  • Input daily data into the CMMS program
  • Complete all work orders

Technical:
  • Must be knowledgeable in SCADA, I&E, Measurement, and Communication.
  • Assists in the gathering, recording and analysis of facility operations and equipment necessary to develop solutions to technical and related problems
  • Assists in developing recommended solutions to technical problems, development of “best” practice procedures, promotion of HSE programs, and application of procedures relative to technical issues
  • Performs other duties and tasks designated by supervisor to which he/she is assigned
  • Follows schedule for work in the facility, in the office, training and off time
  • Capable of receiving and understanding tasks assigned and performing tasks with minimum supervision
  • Performs “hands-on” operations in the maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Assist in the development of equipment maintenance procedures and spare parts
  • Ensure all operation activities are performed correctly, efficiently, safely and according to applicable policies and procedures
  • Be able to read and interpret P&ID’s and area classification drawings

Desktop Support Technician I

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is seeking an entry level Desktop Support Technician I. The position will provide Help Desk support, customer service and computer troubleshooting to our corporate office and field locations. The position will also include PC set up, repair, configuration and administration. Continuously improve programs, processes, and relationships.

Experience / Requirements:

Primary Functions:
  • Provide a high level of support for all IT hardware and software.

Energy Marketing Representative III

Job Summary:

SilverBow Resources is looking for an Energy Marketing Representative III to provide routine to moderately complex marketing analysis in support of the department and Company objectives. Administer crude oil and natural gas sales and purchase contracts as well as transportation, processing and gathering agreements. Conduct timely review of existing contracts and inform the appropriate company personnel and other parties of relevant changes to such contracts. Continuously improve programs, processes and relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly analysis of processing elections under contracts (full vs alternate) and send election notice to pipelines
  • Meet with Production Operations on regular basis – knowledge of upcoming volume changes/plans
  • Recommend gas sales volumes by area/pipeline for the next month
  • Execute agreed upon gas sales strategy for next month
  • Seek seasonal and term gas sales indications/opportunities
  • Determine daily gas sales requirements and make daily sales
  • Manage and minimize gas pipeline imbalances
  • Maintain monthly gas sales spreadsheet that supports the accrual and invoice process
  • Manage the creation of average oil, gas and NGL accrual prices by field and timely submit to Accounting
  • Create the invoice detail for all invoiced sales and timely submit to Accounting
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new sales opportunities
  • Verify all sales transactions confirmations and maintain files of such
  • Collect and review pipeline statements, approve and send to Accounts Payable for payment
  • Collect and review processing statements
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of Company midstream agreements
