    Engineering Analyst I

    Job Summary:

    SilverBow Resources is looking for an Engineering Analyst I to perform routine tasks in support of the Planning team. These tasks may include database management, information gathering, reporting, data analysis, economic support, goal tracking, and development planning as described below. Further, this role will be the interface between the operations and finance/accounting responsibilities within the corporation. The position is responsible for continuously improving programs, processes and relationships internally and externally.

    Responsibilities:

    • Performs routine tasks in support of the Planning team and projects.
    • Report retrieval, distribution, compilation and/or transmission on a regular basis.
    • Responsible for compiling metrics as well as helping out when needed in the development of processes/procedures to support the accuracy and gathering of functional data.
    • Provide to leadership the data and data analysis required to complete management/board level reports and presentations.
    • Assist in the investigation and gathering data in support of projects; coordinate with other departments as needed.
    • Provide data to support presentations by staff.
    • Support evaluation efforts of team; work issues with staff.
    • Set-up, maintain and/or access functional data management systems /databases in a timely and accurate manner; produce reports and/or graphs as needed (monthly, quarterly and yearly basis).
    • Research and describe well histories.
    • Basic understanding and usage of economic and production tracking software.
    • Tracking of metrics, data, costs, etc.
    • May interact with other departments to obtain necessary information for approvals and for preparing and tracking AFEs and AFE Supplements.
    • Provide information as requested from outside department / team. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and assist with special projects as needed.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
    • 1-3 years of experience
    • Oil & Gas industry business analytics and operational discipline(s)
    • Basic understanding and usage of economics and production tracking software

    Reservoir Engineer


    Reservoir Engineer

    Job Summary:

    SilverBow Resources is looking for a Reservoir Engineer responsible for business and reservoir management and surveillance. This role will work closely with engineering staff to ensure efficient Asset Management, Reservoir/Resource Management, Well Optimization and Performance and support of operations activities. This position will surveil production and pressure data to identify performance trends, and recommend recovery plans in coordination with operations and engineering staff. Additionally, this position will perform various business and commercial evaluations and provide surveillance of competitor activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Asset, Area, Field and well surveillance for performance and short and long term forecasting and budget preparation.
    • Reservoir performance, choke management strategies and data gathering activities.
    • Asset Analysis including business and commercial studies, small A&D opportunities, commercial options.
    • Coordination and preparation of projects for approval, implementation and execution.
    • Ensure industry technology is transferred, integrated and applied throughout.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and 10 - 20 years of experience; including multiple years supporting Eagle Ford Shale Assets in addition to other unconventional assets.
    • Proven track record of performance.
    • Solid reservoir engineering skillset (volumetrics, decline curve, log analysis, and RTA/PTA analysis).
    • Expert level economic preparation and analysis.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-function professionals at all levels
    • Strong analytical skills including the use of OFM, Fekete and Aries packages

    Key Skills:

    • Recognized as an industry expert who develops solutions and proposes changes to company practices & standards.
    • Demonstrated project management skills and techniques in planning, operations and analysis.
    • 10+ years Shale experience.
    • Successful in a team environment.
    • Performed at a very high level as an influencer.
    • Specific track record of successful field development plans and programs.

    Senior Business Analyst (IT)


    Senior Business Analyst (IT)

    Job Summary:

    SilverBow Resources is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (IT) to provide technical and user support for applications. An emphasis is placed on supporting the hosted ERP system and its components (Oracle eBusiness Suite, P2 Enterprise Upstream, reporting, interfaces). The Sr. Business Analyst also performs user maintenance for the OpenInvoice invoice processing application and maintains the key interface between OpenInvoice and the Oracle system. Strong project management skills, ability to multi-task and working well with users is critical to success. Duties include analysis/design, testing, debugging and documentation of solutions. It is expected the individual continuously improve programs, processes, and relationships. The Sr. Business Analyst serves as liaison with internal and external audit teams and maintains the internal control documentation for accounting system controls.

    Experience / Requirements:

    • Collaborate with other employees to address accounting / business systems issues.
    • Manage and/or work with contractors as needed.
    • Ability to prioritize user issues.
    • Liaison between system users and ERP hosting company.
    • Maintains IT internal control documentation.

    Technologies Supported:

    • Requires a high degree of proficiency with Oracle support tools and user administration. This includes tools for Oracle reports, interfaces and forms. Position is a primary resource for the corporate reporting environments including transactional systems and datamarts/data warehouses. Technical aspects include accuracy, performance, and security.
    • Maintain and support interfaces to provide integration of processes and data into the ERP system – automate and secure as needed. Monitor the import/export of data between ERP and other sources – enable communication and exchange of data between systems.
    • Provide application support and enhancements to systems. Includes custom enhancements as well as fully exploiting the applications purchased.
    • Strong understanding in the technical skill sets used to provide solutions including SQL and PL/SQL.
    • Proficient project management skills for planning, budgeting & monitoring. Ability to follow a change management process. Demonstrate ability to work independently and complete delegated tasks.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and/or Accounting related studies/or related experience of 6+ years .
    • Oracle E-Business Suite experience required, P2 experience highly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of Information Technology audit functions.
